E-mail us about any upcoming online or in-person therapy groups.
When we are conducting therapy groups, they differ from support groups in that they are led and directed by a psychologist, with deeper exploration of dynamics and areas of concern, and solution-focused skill building. These groups usually consist of about 6 – 10 people of varying ages. The groups last for 16 weeks and delve deeper than support groups.
Members must be individual therapy with a licensed therapist at least twice per month. Eating disorder group members must have an ongoing relationship with a physician who is monitoring their medical stability.
All patients, including minors (and their parents), must call in advance to be screened and informed about the group process. Group members must also sign a release so we may speak with their individual therapists if necessary.
Dr. Role-Warren has been leading these groups for over 25 years. They are very helpful in intensifying treatment, reducing denial, isolation, and increasing social support.
60- or 90-minute groups are offered, usually lasting for 15 weeks, for groups of clients with:
- Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating Disorder
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Stress
